Southeastern Region – Leading Change at the Nation's Crossroads

Regional Director: Dr. Shauna M. Reynolds
(Washington D.C., Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania)

Who We Are

The Southeastern Region of the National Association of Black Counselors (NABC) is a newly formed network of mental health professionals dedicated to advancing the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Black communities in Washington, DC, Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

We provide a space for connection, professional growth, and culturally responsive practice.

Our Mission

To unite and empower Black counselors and mental health professionals through education, advocacy, and community engagement — ensuring that our work reflects the cultural strengths, values, and needs of the communities we serve.

  • Government Workforce Support: Specialized care for federal employees and contractors

  • Historical Trauma Initiatives: Healing work rooted in the region's civil rights legacy
