NATIONAL UPDATES

The NABC Advocacy & Legislative Branch is dedicated to championing the specific needs and priorities of Black counselors, ensuring that their voices and the needs of their clients are central to shaping laws and policies affecting the counseling profession. We prioritize the representation and advocacy of Black counselors by actively monitoring legislative and regulatory changes and lobbying for bills that address their unique challenges and needs.

Through partnering and collaborating with behavioral health coalitions and federal lawmakers, the NABC Advocacy and Legislative team will monitor legislative and regulatory changes that impact the counseling profession and advocate for policies that address the needs of Black counselors and the communities they serve.
