In accordance with the needs of the ages of the population served by Seattle Children’s Hospital, Autism Center and The Alyssa Burnett Center, the Behavioral Mental Health Specialist will provide classroom instruction, training of volunteers, caregivers and instructors, and support in classroom as needed. Measuring outcomes, tracking goals and behaviors and providing guidance and support as needed in the recreation and community based setting. . Provide parent, teacher and staff training and monitor the effectiveness and implementation of behavioral treatments in community settings.

– Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, Behavior Analysis or other related social/behavior science field.
– Minimum two (2) years of experience providing direct treatment services to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or challenging behaviors and their families.
– Nationally Licensed as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
– State of Washington registration/licensure appropriate to clinical field (Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration).
– Experience with multi-system involved children and adults with challenging behaviors and/or developmental or intellectual disabilities.
– Previous experience in the implementation of behavioral assessment and treatment programs with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including the use of functional analysis methodologies across settings
-Experience in classroom instruction, and/or training of staff and professionals.
